Humour
Humour in adverts is when adverts contain parts that seem to be humorous to the audience and attempt to make them laugh, with jokes or unusual content. In this advert they use humour by trying to catch the audience off guard. They attempt to surprise the audience since at the beginning at 0:01 it starts off with a normal situation of a little girl eating cereal, but at 0:07, there is a twist and the teddy bears start to move and dance around, which is a big surprise to the audience, since it is not something that the audience would expect in a cereal advert, they might get shocked by the fact that teddy bears are dancing, this will make them excited while watching, and they will enjoy the advert even more.
Surreal
Surreal adverts are adverts that are very strange compared to other adverts, and they usually have unusual content in them that you wouldn't see in other adverts. In this advert they reveal a gorilla at 0:06 which catches the audience off gourd, and surprises them even more at 0:57 when they reveal a drum set, and then the gorilla plays the drums, this is very unusual, and makes the audience wonder what this actually has to do with chocolate. All of the confusion, and strange content makes the advert very exciting for the audience to watch.
Dramatic
Dramatic adverts is when adverts try to add tension and suspense to entertain the audience and make the advert more interesting to watch. In this advert they have very suspenseful music, while at the same time being very humorous, doing a parody of the space theme at 0:01 makes the advert a lot more interesting, and engages the audience, making them wonder what is actually happening, and makes them wonder what is so amazing about this ice cream.
Parodic (Parody)
Parodic adverts is when an advert copies another form of media, such as films, TV shows and more, in this case it is an advert where they copy the Cadbury gorilla advert. At 0:00 they already reveal what seems to be a gorilla, which seems strange, but those who get the reference will notice straight away, and realise what is going to happen. Unlike the original advert, this one takes a sudden turn of events and has the gorilla turn to its side at 0:15, looking at two chocolate bunnies, grunting that it liked them, and then at 0:20 unlike the advert it is doing a parody of, the gorilla plays the drums very unprofessionally. By doing this it makes the audience laugh and want to continue watching, since they find it very unusual and different compared to other adverts, and by seeing parodies, it makes people who know what it is a parody of, enjoy the advert a lot more.
